Chorus Club

Chorus Club is intended for those 4th-5th grade students who love music and want to increase and develop their love for singing. Students who are part of Chorus Club should be responsible for practicing not only Fridays but also at home. The club’s requirement will consist of not only basic musical skills; but also interest for music and discipline. The goal is to develop your child’s music skills. This is through warm up exercises, correct singing postures and use of diaphragm; along with music notation reading and music theory. Also, students will cooperate, share, and team work during rehearsals promoting such social skills. Finally, the Chorus Club is intended to improve reading and memory skills through the use of songs. I will notify the students that have been picked for the club no later than October 5th.

First rehearsal is October 6th and last is March 8th

Cheer Club

🎉 Join the Cheer Club – Show Your Eagle Lake Spirit! 🎉

Hey Eagles! Are you ready to spread some school spirit and have a blast doing it? The Cheer Club at Deltona Lakes Elementary is the perfect place for 5th grade students to express their school pride through cheers, chants, and dance!

Cheer Club was founded by some spirited Eagles, and it’s grown into an amazing opportunity for students to be leaders—motivating classmates, boosting morale, and celebrating the amazing community we’re all a part of at Deltona Lakes Elementary. Led by our energetic and inspiring Ms. Marbley, a 5th grade teacher, the club is a place where kids can learn, grow, and shine! ✨

Cheer Practices are held on Tuesdays and Thursdays during 5th grade recess. For extra performance preparation, we may have after-school practices, but don’t worry—we’ll always give plenty of notice.

The Fall Squad will run from September 1, 2025, to December 19, 2025, and the Winter Squad from February 2, 2026, to mid-May.

✨ Fall Registration is still OPEN, but hurry—we only have 24 spots available, and they’re filling up fast! 🌟 Don’t miss out on the chance to be part of this spirited, fun-filled tradition!

Let’s cheer loud and proud together as we continue to make Deltona Lakes Elementary Eagles the best school around! 🦅💙

LIA- Latinos in Action

Latinos in Action runs from September to April and provides students with skills that will last a lifetime through the LIA curriculum. This inclusive, student-centered leadership program empowers elementary students to recognize and develop their potential as future leaders. While the program celebrates Latino culture, all students are welcomed and encouraged to participate. LIA will begin on Thursday September 25th from 2:30 - 3:30.
LIA fosters a supportive environment where students build initiative, teamwork, and community engagement. Participants serve as peer mentors by tutoring younger students after school and taking part in school events. Throughout the year, they prepare to showcase their leadership journey with a special performance at the April conference.

Mrs. Colon and Ms. Consentino are the teachers for LIA.

We will be reaching out to your teachers very soon!

Yearbook Club

Deltona Lakes Elementary will be continuing a yearbook club this 2025-26 school year.  Students in the 4th & 5th grade are welcome to apply to join the DLE Yearbook Club!  Students will meet every other Friday afterschool until 3:30pm. This will start October 3rd and go until we finish the Yearbook sometime in March. If we find, we need to meet every Friday at some point you will be notified ahead of time. When yearbooks arrive in May, students will be responsible for selling and helping to distribute yearbooks. As part of the yearbook club, you may be required to take some pictures during the school year and attend school functions to photograph as well (cell phone, iPad, or camera). You will also be using a computer program to create the pages that are a part of our finished yearbook. Students will need to keep their grades up and will be chosen based on their application and teacher recommendations. You must have parent permission and be able to stay afterschool on Fridays and attend most school functions. So, if this sounds like you, and you like to take pictures, and are good with computers, please apply today! Fill out the form below and return with a parent signature. If you are chosen, there will be a $15 fee to cover shirt and badge cost. You will receive a free “hard” cover yearbook as well. You will be notified by September 13th.
